The Hardest Science on publication bias

April 8, 2012

Sanjay Srivastava, personality psychologist, and writer of the blog the Hardest Science (I love that name), frequently comments on issues with how science is currently conducted.  The post I’m linking to is about the increase of publication bias (that is, publishing positive results, rather than, rats, the hypothesis did not work out).  He has a suggestion about making journals publish replication attempts.  Not very much expanded on.

Check out some of his other posts, also, which are very relevant to the issues about fixing science (and I figure it is better to go to the source than me constructing loads of links here.  Well, unless it turns out it is better to link)
