Post-Pub Peer review, recent examples
Sanjay Srivastava took the opportunity to comment on a PLOS article in the area provided – with some back-and forth and corrections following. He then blogged about the experience here.
A few days earlier Dorothy Bishop blogged about post-peer review in the blogosphere. She had discussed and critiqued a recently published paper about an intervention for dyslexia. Intriguing finding, low-powered experiment. The authors responded back on her blog (I say that is a positive, I think she agrees). Some of the things they said in the response were perhaps not as – positive. And, that is what she writes about in the blog I linked (all the earlier postings can be accessed through it).
Commenting and critiquing papers in the blogosphere will happen, of course, because it is, well, the blogosphere. But, she makes some interesting observations that are worth considering for moving towards more frequent post-pub review.
