Pre-registration, a manifesto.

“The aim here isn’t to punish the academic community for playing the game that we created; rather, we seek to change the rules of the game itself.”

 

This Guardian post was  tweeted in today, multiple times, from some of the authors and signatories that I follow: Trust in science would be improved by study pre-registration.

I say Hear Hear! and my favorite brain (Neuroskeptic) will be pleased.

    The aim here isn’t to punish the academic community for playing the game that we created; rather, we seek to change the rules so it stops being a gamë and becomes performing science in an optimal manner.
